DIY Code2023
-> HTML, JavaScript, CSS, IlustratorThese are my favorite things I made in my Software as Design class last year. I explored the basic elements of website construction as a medium for expression, while learning how to code. My projects were informed by Distribution, Dispersion, Circulation, and memes.Furniture Zine

This webzine features three texts on furniture: Donald Judd’s Its Hard to Find a Good Lamp, an essay I wrote on furniture as art, and descriptions from the Ikea website. I designed directly in the browser using HTML and CSS: changing text size and font on hover, moving text with marquees, and exploring the potential of /div.

DigiQuilt

I collaborated with Stephanie Wang to create a digital quilt that is built by community interaction. I created a quilt that we used as a projection surface. There was a mouse that people used to interact with the website in real time, and change the quilt based on their feelings.

Jackson’s Prophetic Mixtape

I created this website for my friend Jackson, who loves EDM. If you move your fingers across the screen on mobile, the speed of the mixtape changes. I used JavaScript to code the answers prompted when you click the “should I do it??” button.
